The Museum was founded on June 2nd, 2011. It is located within the cultural facility and it has a good space, which has capacity to receive over 1000 exhibits from various fields. Museum is an institution that preserves, promotes and presents the values of cultural heritage of Ferizaj. Therefore, with the continuous enrichment that has been done entirely on the basis of the donation of exhibits by citizens. The Museum has managed to create museum collections. The Ferizaj city museum consists of several sectors, such as: the Archaeology Sector, the Ethnology Sector and the History Sector.
In the city museum there are also exhibits from various archaeological sites, such as that of the Neolithic settlement of Varosh, where traces of various fragments of Neolithic ceramics have been found, mostly discovered by chance during the agricultural works of the lands; this is mostly mobile archaeological material that proves the traces of a typical open Neolithic settlement of both cultures, both of Starceva and Vinca. In this locality, in 2010, the discovery of the Anthropomorphic Figurine was made, which belongs to the 6th millennium BC. Respectively, it is representative of the Neolithic era, and one of the oldest exhibits discovered so far in Ferizaj.
